Q + A

When is the RSVP date?

Please RSVP by 1 November 2026

What is the wedding dress code?

Formal. For ladies, this means ankle length dresses or separates (top and skirt), and for men a suit with a button-down shirt and tie. Jackets are optional.

Where is the wedding ceremony and reception?

The wedding ceremony is at The Gardens Club located within the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. The reception is across the river at Rydges South Bank.

Do we need to organise our own transport from the ceremony to the reception?

Yes, we recommend getting an uber to the ceremony venue and then catching the ferry across to the reception. More information can be found on the transport page.

Is there a wedding registry?

Your presence is the greatest gift. If you'd like to give something, a wishing well will be available at the venue.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Both! The ceremony will take place outside on the front lawns of The Gardens Club. After the ceremony drinks and nibbles will be available on the balcony and inside the groundkeeper's house. The reception will be at Rydges South Bank, with cocktail hour at Soleil Pool Bar and dinner, dancing and fireworks to follow on level 12.

What will the weather be like?

Summer in Brisbane is usually warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Is the wedding child friendly?

We hope you understand that our wedding will be an adults-only occasion. We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to keep our special day limited to adult guests only.

Is there accommodation near the venue?

There are plenty of hotels and Airbnb’s around South Bank that are within walking distance to Rydges. As New Years Eve is a busy time in this area we recommend you book accommodations as soon as possible.
